When a 30-day stay beats stacking nightly bookings
We do not run short-term and medium-term as two unrelated businesses. STR fills high-demand dates. MTR locks weaker months. Hospitable is the control layer for both.
If you ask for 21 nights, we may still treat it as extended STR. If you can stretch to 30+, you enter furnished-housing terms: different cancellation, different payment schedule, different cleaning cadence. That is usually better for both sides on a long gap.
We will not automatically accept an MTR inquiry that destroys a stronger STR calendar. The check is simple: expected STR revenue minus operating cost, versus MTR revenue minus its lighter turnover cost. If the month loses, we decline or offer other dates.
Guests who are “almost” at 30 nights should say so on the form. Converting a 7–27 night request into a true 30-day hold is a conversation, not a secret discount button.
